Empty Air

The day it all dropped down by my side
Is the day I truly came alive
And there was nothing there
Just empty air
Nothing with the will to get by
And I just basked in the vastness of the sky
I wasn't big and I sure wasn't small
Only aware of it all
And perceiving
Something that was
Beyond believing
And beyond reason in its perfect hue
There's nothing there I have to do
Only make waves to lap the shore
And give in to worship all I adore
And once again, once more
I let go to open the door
