Alter Egos

I can believe you rolled her like a new cigarette
It’s something I can’t bear to forget
And I’m still daydreaming yet
Into the forest and out with regret
As we both subside into the moment
I don’t know about you but I think that I own it
And you have true colours but you haven’t shown it
You drown out the ocean as it’s grown
And I would’ve said yes but you’d never have known
In the audience of ill repute
Is it okay if I call you a flute
And play you like a magnet charm
In the midnight of no alarm
