Stillness Speaks

Christ, I love you without hesitation
And I know the train has left the station
And pulled into another dock
I closed the door you turned the lock
When I just went out for wood
So the fire would be good
Another time, another place
Another you, another waste
And now I don’t know who I am
Nor can I understand
So I just let my mind go blank
I guess I have the pain to thank
For the growth that I endured
To be rained on and manured
