Thunderclouds

Thunderclouds,
Thunderclouds roll
And I sing of sonnets
That live in my soul
I sing of the rise
And then the fall
The slow burning fuse
That burns through it all
And when the storms over
And all dulls to calm
I nostalgically
Ring the alarm
To let me know
Now the coast is clear
Though thunderclouds roll
The lightning’s held dear
