An Open Mouth

I tremble with fear
When I've said a new word
How will it be received
Its likes have not been uttered
For millenia
And never in this company
Never have I seen such a tale
Am I to be executed
For my crimes
Against humanity
For daring to be different
Or true
Will they turn on me
And say all eyes ablaze
That I do not deserve
The paper it is written on
Or will it resonate
And ring true
For those
Who hear it

I am standing all alone
In this wilderness
I am a voice who cries aloud
Hear me
It is too long to keep this all inside
To long to bear the burden of such beauty
