Now you’re far away And weaving in and out between Dancing in Some kind of dream And there are words I don’t utter But when you smile I melt like butter Into a puddle at your feet I’m still absorbed by the way a black hole will meet The light that moves to its own pulse And I must inquire does love repulse Opposite poles like two magnet shapes Did I fall in love or did I forsake
And we’re all at sea in our separate lives We do anything just to survive But I catch you catch hold of my hand Help me into a carriage I don’t understand As it takes me somewhere new There is scenery but it sings of you And the us we could be Or already are like water is free To flow through rather than under And I may have deleted your number But it’s just coz I’m defeated and going under The tidal weight of the ocean we are You caught my eye like a shooting star
No one could deny The spark in Stephen’s eyes As he talks to me he folds Time into days of old And he laughs, suddenly and unexpected I hope he didn’t feel rejected When I bowed out, when I skipped town He has to know I love him around And I just couldn’t fine the words to say When I was in that place I had to stay That his effervescence shone like stars And you could trawl the neatest bars Looking for a smile like that I have to say I took off my hat To your ardently and devoted I open hearted and emoted And you didn’t faze or fade away You just let me know what it is to stay In the light of your heavenly sun And you may not be the one But you’re the one who shared some time with me I wrote this down so you might see
All I know about you is your page And that you used to love rage But I don’t know where you’re at now There’s a distance between us somehow And I don’t want to start a war Do we even know what this is for As the dew falls on the grass Was it just that I didn’t ask To be your friend Now I’m sailing round the riverbend To open fields where the grass is green I won’t forget your supernova dream But I see beauty everywhere Like it was mystical in your stare And your look could never be beaten You look thin, have you eaten? And you grew strong with every word And I am flying like a bird In open air I’m so glad that we met there So that I could see The machinations of destiny Turn the wheel A cog on cog that was so real You’re beautiful I hope that your heart is full
