Watching the polarities
Rise and fall
Male and female
Being brought to the boil
As we push the boundary
Of what we think we know
But they’re just categories 
And we have to let them go
As gender becomes
A fluid concept
And the powers that be
Are sure to jump on it 
And tell us 
What we should understand
Now that non binary
Is in demand 
And you say conservative
Or a liberal foe
It’s all in the ball you throw
With your good arm
No need to sound the alarm
On the adjacent feminist
They don’t get how some things exist
Except to say a right
Is where the opposites ignite
