My name is Laura. I’m twenty seven years old, soon to be twenty eight. I keep updating this thing as time moves along. I’m from Ireland, an Island on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s emerald green and beautiful. I live out in the middle of nowhere as we say here, although Ireland is so small that everywhere is somewhere and you are never very far from anyone. But I love the rural locale and the wilderness of the countryside.
I’ve been writing as far back as I can remember and it has always been my passion and my desire to one day make a career out of it. I remember being seven and getting a premonition of myself as a struggling writer with nowhere to go, living out of a leather suitcase. While that has not materialised as such I find myself on the edge of the modern world, with no real interest in partaking. I prefer to spend my time lost in a daydream, pilfering secrets from the other side and drawing them out in worlds of my own making.
So here it is, my soul as told through the medium of poem. I hope you enjoy and can take away something from my words on a page, if only that you’re not alone in what you’re feeling and all is well. Because you can be sure, if you’ve been there, so have I. Wishing you all the love in my heart and all the flowers I’ve collected along the way.
